What to See and What to Do

Chic City‧Timeless Traditions
Come see a side of Asia's world city that lives deep inside its modern exterior. Join us to celebrate four traditional Chinese festivals in Hong Kong which are sure to invigorate your senses! Grab your camera as a flotilla of gaily decorated boats sail through Victoria Harbour in a spectacular boat parade for the Tin Hau Festival! Set sail for the unique Cheung Chau Bun Festival known for its ‘Floating Colours' parade and Bun Scrambling Competition! Take part in the ‘Buddha Bathing Festival' on the Birthday of Lord Buddha, or grab the rare opportunity to see the Buddha's Parietal-bone Relic on show in Hong Kong for the first time. Soak up the atmosphere of dragon dance and street parade for Tam Kung Festival. The Cantonese Opera performed during the festivals in traditional bamboo theatres are also not-to-be-missed!

 


Good Things Come in Threes for Art Lovers

With not one but three fascinating arts extravaganzas, it's shaping up to be a superb Spring for arts and crafts lovers! So come along and discover the best of France at the 20th anniversary of Le French May (12 April - 24 June) and the cream of Asia and the world's rising and established talents at the Hong Kong International Art Fair (17 - 20 May). There'll be still more fascinating antiques and accouterments to see and buy at the following week's 7th Asian Arts and Antiques Fair (25 - 27 May).
